Huawei P20 and P20 Pro: Price, availability, and release date

After months of rumors and leaks, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro have finally been unveiled at an event in Paris, France. The successors to 2017's Huawei P10 lineup bring unique, all-new designs, 18.7:9 aspect ratio displays, powerful Kirin 970 chipsets, and either 4 or 6GB of RAM. The P20 Pro even has three rear-facing cameras. Yeah, these phones are hot.

But when will you actually be able to buy the P20 and P20 Pro? How much will they cost?

The Huawei P20 price is 649 euro for 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with the Huawei P20 Pro price considerably higher at 899 euro — but that gets you 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For reference, the P10 retailed for 649 euro when it launched in February 2017, while the Plus model went for 799 euro.

Huawei also announced a device called the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS, continuing the phone company's partnership with the luxury brand. This high-end phone will cost 1,695 euro for the model with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the 6GB/512GB model will go for a whopping 2,095 euro.

The P20 will be available Tuesday, March 27, while the P20 Pro will launch Friday, April 6. The Porsche Design Mate RS will be available Thursday, April 12. Huawei isn't giving any exact availability details yet, but the press release did say the device would be available "globally." We unfortunately don't have any information beyond that.

Remember, the P10 lineup never came to the United States, so it wouldn't be farfetched to think that the P20 lineup wouldn't either — especially considering Huawei's multiple failed attempts to bring its phones to the U.S.. We can speculate, however, that the P20 and P20 Pro could go on sale in multiple regions in Europe, the U.K., Australia, Africa, China, and more. Again, we will update this section as we learn more about Huawei's plans.
