Lollipop Nightmare!

I upgraded my S5 to Lollipop and found that Essenet and a couple of less important apps stopped working. I then used a file server to reflash the Kitkat firmware onto my s5 which didn't work and the phone stopped working. Fortunately before this I had backed up my data using Kies.
