Our first pick for the best smartphones with wide-angle cameras goes to the Asus ROG Phone 2, and it's one of the most impressive all-around devices on the list.
The ROG Phone 2 packs a 48MP+13MP ultra-wide rear camera pairing, but it also stands out due to its overall specs. It's the first phone with a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, offers 8GB to 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 3.0 storage.
This is also one of those cases where the "gaming smartphone" name is fully deserved, owing to the 120Hz OLED screen, 6,000mAh battery, ultrasonic triggers, and variety of optional accessories.

The best part about the Zenfone 6 might have to be its affordable price tag, though, which makes it one of the cheapest flagships you'll find in 2019. Add that camera swivel to the mix, and you've got a unique device that will certainly turn heads.

4. LG G8X ThinQ
The LG G8X ThinQ comes with a 13MP f/2.4 camera with a 136-degree field of view, as well as a standard 12MP shooter with an f/1.8 aperture. The phone sports a headphone jack, a quad DAC, and wireless charging. It's also IP68 rated and packs high-end specs including the Snapdragon 855 chipset.

5. OnePlus 7T series
The vanilla OnePlus 7 only had a 48MP+5MP dual camera setup when it launched earlier this year, while the Pro model gained a triple camera setup. Fortunately, the OnePlus 7T series brings a triple camera setup to both the standard and Pro variants. And yes, you've got main, telephoto, and ultra-wide cameras here.
The standard OnePlus 7T brings a 48MP, 12MP 2x telephoto, and 16MP ultra-wide camera (117-degree field of view) setup. Meanwhile, the Pro variant differs by offering an 8MP 3x telephoto sensor. Other differences between the two devices include a pop-up selfie camera on the OnePlus 7T Pro (the standard version has a waterdrop notch), battery capacity (the Pro has a slightly bigger pack), and display (Full HD+ versus QHD+).
Otherwise, both phones feature a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, 90Hz OLED displays, UFS 3.0 storage, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. All in all, it's a pretty good deal for a starting price of $600.

Realme's first flagship is in the running for the best value for money flagship of the year, and it even won big in our Best of Android 2019 awards.
The Realme X2 Pro is what you'd get if you wanted a turbocharged OnePlus 7T at an even cheaper price. That means a 90Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, and a 4,000mAh battery with 50W charging.
You can't go wrong in the photography department either, owing to a quad rear camera setup (64MP main, 13MP 2x telephoto, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro). The ultra-wide camera doesn't pack as many megapixels as rival brands, but it'll still do the job. A 16MP camera in a waterdrop notch handles selfies.

Samsung's Galaxy S10 series is one of the best all-round flagship phone lines, and you've got three options to suit your budget. The S10e is the cheapest of the three, but you can opt for the more expensive Galaxy S10 Plus if you want all the bells and whistles.
Either way, you're getting a Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 processor (depending on the region), an OLED screen with punch-hole cutout, a 12MP primary rear camera, and Dex capabilities. Unlike the Galaxy Note 10 series, the phones also offer a 3.5mm port and a microSD card slot.
All three handsets serve up a 16MP f/2.2 camera with a 123-degree field of view too. So these devices are definitely among the better smartphones with a wide-angle camera on paper.

Samsung's late 2019 flagships controversially ditched headphone ports, and one of them even ditched the microSD slot. These were two features that were present on Samsung's Note series since the beginning, with the exception of the Galaxy Note 5 — it dropped the microSD slot.

Despite these omissions, the Galaxy Note 10 series still offers a fantastic flagship experience for the most part. You've got a Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9825 chipset, up to 512GB of storage, up to 12GB of RAM, and Samsung's class-leading OLED screens. These phones also packed multiple rear cameras (12MP, 12MP 2x telephoto, 16MP ultra-wide), while the Galaxy Note 10 Plus adds a 3D ToF camera as well.
Samsung's late 2019 releases also come with an IP68 water/dust resistance, wireless charging, and the iconic S-Pen stylus. Sure, they occupy the premium price segment, but it's tough to argue that you aren't getting a lot of features. And that 16MP ultra-wide camera goes very wide without compromising on detail.

This means you've got one of the better smartphones with a wide-angle camera in theory, packing plenty of pixels into a wide view.
The Mi Note 10 also offers a 108MP main camera, a 3.7X 8MP telephoto camera that takes 5x 5MP shots, a 12MP 2x telephoto snapper, and a 2MP macro sensor. In other words, this might be the most impressive camera setup of 2019.
Xiaomi's device also offers a Snapdragon 730G chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 5,260mAh battery. And yes, the Mi Note 10 also has a headphone port.

The ZTE Axon 10 Pro is a OnePlus rival of note, delivering a flagship experience at a similar price-point. That means a Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 6.47-inch OLED screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
ZTE also followed other flagships in delivering a triple rear camera, offering a 48MP main camera and an 8MP 3x telephoto sensor. The third camera is a 20MP ultra-wide sensor (125-degree field of view), giving the same resolution but a slightly wider field of view compared to the Mi Note 10's wide-angle camera.
The addition of wireless charging and IP53 splash resistance only makes this a sweeter deal for $470 via the ZTE website.
