Official Vivo Nex 3 promo video shows us everything but its insides

Vivo Nex 3 official video still showing back of device.Weibo

As far as we know, there still is no set launch date for the upcoming Vivo Nex 3 smartphone. However, that didn't stop the company from posting a video on Weibo that shows off the device from nearly every angle (via The Verge).

After watching the video, we now know pretty much everything there is to know about the Vivo Nex 3 — at least when it comes to its hardware and look. Unfortunately, we still only have rumors about what kinds of specs the phone is packing.

You can watch the full video here (it's only 23-seconds long) or you can check out the highlights in our screengrabs below:

#gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

We can glean a few things from the video stills above. The first is that the device will keep the all-screen design of the Vivo Nex and Vivo Nex 2 as well as include a pop-up selfie cam, just as with prior models. However, the selfie camera appears to be much wider than previous generations, suggesting the possibility of two camera lenses or possibly some other sensors.

You can also see the curved display edges of the Vivo Nex 3. Vivo is marketing this as a Waterfall display, but it's essentially the same thing as we've seen on other devices, including the OnePlus 7 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S10.

On the back, you can see a triple-lens camera setup in the formation of a circle. The circular camera formation appears to be a new trend as we've seen rumors pointing to other devices with a similar setup. However, the video doesn't confirm (or disprove) that the Nex 3 will also come with the "second display" on the back of the device, as we saw on the Nex 2.

Finally, you can clearly see the headphone jack at the top of the device in one of the stills.

With the launch of this video, it's obvious the Vivo Nex 3 announcement isn't far off. Stay tuned for more info!
