Update, September 3, 2019 (2:18PM EDT): Tipster Max J. leaked specs that reportedly belong to the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. Check out the specs and features section in the article below to learn more!

Ever since OnePlus revealed the OnePlus 3T in November 2016, the company has stuck to a reliable release schedule: a brand new smartphone launched in the spring and then a "T" update model launched in the fall. One would expect this year to be no different and we'll see a OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro before the end of 2019.

However, things have changed for OnePlus. In fact, the very existence of the OnePlus 7 Pro is different for the company as it's the first time we've seen a "Pro" model smartphone on the brand's roster. Not only that, but we also have a minor third phone launched this year: the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, which is only available in select locations.

We also know that OnePlus is going to launch its first television this September, appropriately called the OnePlus TV. This is a brand new product category for the company and could be a big risk, considering how cutthroat the TV market is.

All of this leads up to the big question: what can we expect from the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro?

With "T" updates becoming the norm for OnePlus, it's a safe bet to assume the OnePlus phones possibly coming before the end of 2019 will have the "T" moniker attached. That means the phones will likely be called the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro.

As for the release date, @Samsung_News (Max J.) on Twitter claimed OnePlus will announce the two phones October 10. They also posited the phones will launch September 26 in India and October 15 for the rest of the world. Tipster Ishan Agarwal re-iterated the September 26 launch for India, but didn't say anything in regards to a global release date.

If true, the September 26 launch date would be a bit strange for OnePlus. The company previously unveiled "T" variants in October or November, with the OnePlus 6T launching October 29. Also, TechRadar reported the October 15 launch date is incorrect and that the information from Max J. is incorrect.

As with the OnePlus 7, don't expect the OnePlus 7T to be available in the U.S., Australia, and other regions where its predecessor was unavailable. Instead, those markets will likely only get the OnePlus 7T Pro.

OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro: Design

In general, we don't expect the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro to look that different from their predecessors. That said, Agarwal leaked an image in December 2018 of what might have been a meeting at OnePlus' headquarters. During the meeting, a OnePlus executive reportedly presented a new phone design. According to Agarwal, the design was of the OnePlus 7T.

As a refresher, here's the image:

Serial leaker Evan Blass seemingly corroborated the above design and shared sketches of a OnePlus phone with a round camera housing. If this camera housing is indeed a hump as the original leak suggested, it could mean OnePlus will deliver a large primary sensor. After all, 64MP and 108MP sensors have already been announced. Check out Blass' image below.

According to Agarwal, the OnePlus 7T will have the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, a 6.5-inch QHD+ OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and notch, a 3,800mAh battery, and a 48MP+12MP+16MP rear camera trio. The phone will also reportedly feature Warp Charge 30T charging, which will reportedly charge the phone from zero to 50 percent in just 20 minutes. Another 40 minutes gives the phone a full charge from zero.

The OnePlus 7T Pro will reportedly sport identical specifications, save for the slightly-larger 4,080mAh battery and larger 6.67-inch QHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Also different is the OnePlus 7T Pro's base configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Max J. re-iterated the same specs for the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. He added the phones will have updated rear glass panels, with the OnePlus 7T Pro battery charging around 20 percent faster with the same 30W charging than the OnePlus 7 Pro's battery. Max J. also said the OnePlus 7T's base configuration will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with the 12MP and 16MP cameras set up as the telephoto and ultra-wide lenses, respectively.

Finally, Agarwal and Max J. said the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro will run Android 10 out of the box.

OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro: Price

Before the OnePlus 7 Pro, prices slowly increased year-over-year since the original OnePlus One's release. That changed with the OnePlus 7 Pro, which saw a more dramatic increase in pricing to $669, a $120 increase from the OnePlus 6T's starting price.

The good news is we shouldn't see an equally-dramatic price increase for the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. Based on their predecessors' starting prices, we expect the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro to start at around the same prices. That means at least 499 pounds (~$600) for the OnePlus 7T and $669 for the OnePlus 7T Pro.
