During its Unpacked press event, the company said the Samsung Galaxy Fold will come in two versions; one that will work on current 4G LTE networks, and another that will connect to the upcoming 5G carrier networks. The Galaxy Fold will be priced starting at $1,980 in the US, and presumably, that will be for the 4G LTE model. That likely means the 5G version of the Galaxy Fold will be priced at well over $2,000.

Europe

For the folk in Europe, the Samsung Galaxy Fold will also be highly expensive. It will have a starting cost of €2,000 euros in that part of the world. Again, we assume that will be for the 4G LTE version, with the 5G model costing even more.

UK

In the U.K., Samsung will sell the Galaxy for the starting price of £1,799. The company has not revealed the pricing for the 5G version of the phone.

South Korea

Korean news agency Yonhap reports that the Galaxy Fold will have a price of around 2.3 million won (~$1,902). Pricing for specific models wasn't disclosed by the outlet.

US

Initially, Samsung confirmed the Galaxy Fold would be released in the US sometime in September after its initial delay over quality concerns. Renowned leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) previously hinted that the phone would go on sale September 27. On September 23, Blass shared a screenshot of a conversation between a follower and an AT&T representative who affirmed Blass' rumor.

It turned out Blass was correct. The 4G variant of the device went on sale the 27th just after midnight, and customers can purchase the device from Best Buy, AT&T, and at select Samsung Experience stores.

Europe

Samsung confirmed at IFA 2019 that the Galaxy Fold will launch in France and Germany on September 18, 2019, with more European cities expected to follow.

UK

Samsung confirmed at IFA 2019 that the Galaxy Fold will launch in the U.K. on September 18, 2019.

South Korea

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Fold will launch in South Korea on September 6.

US

As of September 27, you can purchase the 4G variant of the device from Best Buy, AT&T, and at select Samsung Experience stores in the US. The only caveat is that customers will need to pick up the device in person. For whatever reason, Samsung has chosen not to ship the device to customers. Both Best Buy and AT&T offer device installment plans starting at $66 per month, or you can purchase the device in full for $1,980.

T-Mobile had previously announced plans to sell the Galaxy Fold, but after Samsung announced its new September launch date, the carrier announced it would no longer be selling the smartphone.

UK

In the UK, Samsung will sell the phone directly. It will also be available via the EE carrier, but so far it has not announced its price or plans.
