The Galaxy S10 Plus’ display could be even bigger than the Note 9’s

  • Sources suggest the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus could have a massive 6.44-inch display.
  • This would be bigger than the display of the upcoming Galaxy Note 9.
  • The same report also says the Galaxy S10 will get a triple camera setup, not the dual camera setup previously rumored.

Samsung is reportedly planning to give the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus a 6.44-inch display. If true, this would be larger than any display found on a current Galaxy S or Galaxy Note series device, as well as the 6.38-inch display that the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 is expected to ship with.

According to The Bell's sources, Samsung informed parts suppliers about adjustments made to the specs of the upcoming Galaxy S10 series devices around June 22. The biggest change is said to be that Samsung had increased the display size of the Galaxy S10 Plus from 6.3-inches to 6.44-inches.

Just two days ago, rumors surfaced that Samsung is planning to release three different versions of the Samsung Galaxy S10. While The Bell also says that this is the case, it added some further details.

Firstly, The Bell says that the third phone will be a cheaper model. It will come with a flat display, not the curved displays that the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus are expected to get. The display of the cheaper model is expected to be between 5 and 6-inches. This mirrors the previous rumor which stated it would be 5.8-inches.

The publication also suggests that Samsung could increase the display size of the standard Galaxy S10 from the planned 5.8-inches to 6.0-inches. This would reflect the changes made to the Galaxy S10 Plus. Also, it says that the standard Samsung Galaxy S10 will get a triple camera setup like the Plus version, not the dual camera setup previously rumored.

The changes are similar to changes Apple is reportedly going to make to this year's iPhone lineup. Apple is said to be planning to release a phone with a 6.46-inch display, as well as a successor to the budget iPhone SE.

Of course, it is still early in the Galaxy S10's development cycle. The Bell's source says that a final decision on the S10 series is not likely to be made until around August.
