The HTC U12 Plus is worthy of your attention. Even if it isn't quite a cult device like the OnePlus 6, it holds its own against any device on the market in terms of specs, performance, and camera performance. It might even beat most of them.
So, how much is it, and where and when can you get it?
HTC launched the U12 Plus in many regions around the world, including in North America, the U.K., Europe, and Australia. Shipments already started in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., though regions like Australia and Spain still have to wait a bit longer.
There are three different color options, including the funky translucent blue, flame red, and your more standard ceramic black (also called titanium black in some regions). We won't be seeing the flame red available in North America just yet though. Stay tuned on that front because it's a very nice option if you can get it.
Below you'll find a list of markets where you can pick up the all-glass, dual-camera front and back HTC U12 Plus, and any deals we can find for you. We'll update this list as more information becomes available.
HTC U12 Plus price: U.S. and Canada
The U.S. gets the U12 Plus in two colors: the frosted-back translucent blue and ceramic black. Both are available in the base model, which comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The translucent blue option is also available with 128GB of storage, though every version comes with a microSD slot.
You can pick up the base U12 Plus from Amazon and HTC.com for $799, while the 128GB model sells for $849. You can also pick up a Verizon-specific model for $799, though Sprint subscribers are out of luck.
If that is too much money, HTC offers a financing option that offers the base model for $34 each month for 24 months. You can also trade in an older device through HTC's Trade Up program, though quotes are not that great.
Meanwhile, the base U12 Plus in Canada runs you $1,099 CAD. The 128GB model runs you $1,169 CAD.
HTC U12 Plus price and availability: U.K.
In addition to translucent blue and ceramic black, the U.K. also gets the flame red option. Regardless of the color, the base model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage sells for 699 pounds. Only the flame red option remains available for pre-order at the time of this writing.
Interestingly, HTC's website does not feature the 128GB version of the U12 Plus. There is also no financing option available, though HTC Club members got a discount to 629 pounds for the base model if they placed a pre-order.
HTC U12 Plus price and availability: Europe
In Europe, the base U12 Plus with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage retails for 799 euros. All three colors, including the flame red option, are available in Europe. Only the translucent blue option comes with 128GB of storage and sells for 849 euros.
HTC also has special pricing for Switzerland, running at 879 Swiss francs for the base model HTC U12 Plus, with details to come regarding color availability.
You can pre-order the phone through HTC.com, with HTC Club members receiving a discount.
HTC U12 Plus price and availability: Australia
Finally, Australia only gets the translucent blue model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can pre-order the phone for $1,199 AUD. The phone will ship toward the end of July.
We will keep close tabs on when the U12 Plus goes on sale in additional regions. In the meantime, let us know in the comment section if you spotted any pre-sale deals or discounts.
