If you use the highly-rated email app Edison Mail you'll find there's a new feature available today. Now, you can easily block email addresses when you receive something you don't want.
Going forward, instead of just deleting a message you don't care about, you should instead block the address. Doing so will automatically forward any future messages from that address straight to the trash without you ever knowing it even existed.
Edison Mail hopes that this will cut down on email clutter and also lessen the "email fatigue" we can all feel when we have an overwhelming inbox with no end in sight.
Check out the video below to see how this new Edison Mail feature works.
The option to block an address now appears at the top of an email message, nearby to the sender's information. Just tap the "Block" button and that's it: future messages from that address will go straight to the trash.
If you hit the button by mistake, just hit it again to unblock that sender. If you accidentally block an address and then want to unblock it later, you can do so from the Settings menu.
This Edison Mail blocking feature works with nearly all free email providers, including Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, Outlook, and more.
If you're already using Edison Mail, this is likely a welcome new feature. If you're not using Edison and are looking for a better email app, try it out by clicking the button below!
