Sony is currently plugging its new wares at MWC, but if you can't wait for a firm release date for the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact, you might be interested to hear that the Xperia XZ1 has been discounted to the lowest price we've seen so far over at Amazon.
There's no word on how long this deal will last, but you can currently pick up the Xperia XZ1 for just $495, which is a massive saving over its $699 launch price, and just over $100 off its more recent $599 list price.
The device you're getting comes with a full US warranty and is factory unlocked. It's worth noting that it will only work GSM/LTE carriers (like AT&T and T-Mobile), so Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular customers are out of luck. Likewise, only the Black and Moonlit Blue colorways are included in the offer at time of writing.
As a refresher, the Xperia XZ1 sports a 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution, and a 19 MP rear camera capable of 4K video recording and slow-motion video at 960 frames per second. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset backed by 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256 GB), and a 2,700 mAh battery. It also runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
While there are some notable black marks against the Xperia XZ1 – namely the disabled fingerprint sensor in the US and Sony's tired, bezel-heavy design being in full effect – it's hard to scoff at that $500 asking price for a flagship-grade phone that's barely six months old.
You can pick up the deal via the button below, but be sure to check out our coverage of Sony's new flagships – just in case you fancy the latest model instead.
