Another variant of the Nokia 1 may have passed through the FCC, a couple of weeks after a previous Nokia 1 model was believed to have been spotted there. The device, which has the product name Nokia TA-1071, was spotted by GSMArena.
It's said to come in at 134 mm high and 55 mm wide, with a 136 mm diagonal (putting it at around 5.35-inches). The previous device was labeled at 133 mm high and 68 mm wide.
HMD Global has a press conference coming on February 25 to coincide with MWC 2018, and the FCC listing is a strong indication that at least one Nokia 1 variant will be announced alongside the rumored Nokia 9, a new Nokia 8 model, Nokia 7 Plus, and potentially even more second-generation devices from the Finnish OEM.
Previous reports regarding the Nokia 1 has suggested it will come with an IPS display at HD resolution, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage space.
Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth v4.0, and 4G LTE were also mentioned in the FCC listing. It has also been suggested that the Nokia 1 will run Android Oreo (Go Edition) – Google's lightweight OS for entry-level devices with 1 GB or less.
As a result of the phone's modest specs, it is likely to carry a budget price tag. Early speculation has suggested a sub $100 price point which would (quite fittingly) put the Nokia 1 just below the Nokia 2 in HMD Global's current range.
