Honor 9 and Honor Band 3 global price and availability revealed

The Honor 9 was recently launched in China and details of its availability in other markets have slowly been trickling in. At a press event in Berlin, Honor has now announced the device in Europe.

The smartphone starts at €449 for the 4 GB RAM model with 64 GB of internal storage space and is available from the official hihonor.com website in four colors: blue, black, silver and gold. A 6 GB of RAM model with 128 GB of storage will also be launching in Europe, but its price hasn't yet been discussed by Honor.

The handset will be available in 25 countries from today — check out the list of them from the conference below.

The Honor 9 is the latest flagship from Huawei sub-brand Honor, arriving in a 3D glass body with a 5.15-inch Full-HD display, Kirin 960 chip, and a 20 MP + 12 MP dual-lens rear camera. On the handset's front, you'll find an 8 MP camera and a fingerprint sensor, and it's powered by a 3,200 mAh battery. It's also running Android Nougat out of the box with Huawei's EMUI 5.1 skin.

Meanwhile, Honor vice-president Eva Wimmers recently told Android Central that a US release for the Honor 9 "is not planned at this moment." Though that leaves some hope that it may head Stateside in the future, it's not exactly likely that this will happen: only some of Honor's phones are released in the territory. Like the Honor 8 Pro released in Europe in April, the Honor 9 might miss out on the US entirely.

At the Berlin press event, Honor announced new fitness band too. The Honor Band 3 is a low-cost fitness tracker said to provide up to 30-day battery life thanks to its 100 mAh battery. The unit weighs just 18 grams and comes with a heart-rate monitor, accelerometer and IR sensor, as well as a 0.91-inch PMOLED 128 x 32-pixel resolution display. It also has sleep tracking capabilities, keeps running records and is water resistant up to 50-meters.

The Honor Band 3 comes in Dynamic Orange, Classic Navy Blue, and Carbon Black color options for €69.
