HMD Global's chief product officer Juho Sarvikas has announced that the Android 8.1 Oreo beta update is now available for the Nokia 8.
The device has been running Android 8.0 Oreo since last year, but this update introduces some new features like revamped settings and power menus, the Bluetooth battery percentage indicator, and, crucially, the correct hamburger emoji.
Be our guest as we serve #AndroidOreo 8.1 beta for #Nokia8 . Updating your device today will enable a host of new features. And most importantly – the hamburger emoji fix with cheese now on top of the patty! Get it here https://t.co/91uhqsbLYM#nokiamobilebetalabs pic.twitter.com/aA4LmSce0E

This also comes with January security patches and latest bug fixes, though, given that the software is in beta, it will no doubt introduce some of its own.
The new update comes in at 1.55 GB and you can get your hands on it by signing up for the beta program here (note that you won't be given immediate access to a download—you'll be sent the update OTA within 12 hours). If you do, be sure to give us your thoughts on it in the comments.
