Roland Quandt has shared new info about Huawei's upcoming P20 series on Twitter. The usually reliable tipster claims the P20 and P20 Plus will be available in Ceramic Black and Twilight color options, while the Lite model will come in Midnight Black, Klein Blue, and Sakura Pink.
Huawei P20 family – codenames and colors
Huawei P20 – "Emily" – Ceramic Black / Twilight
Huawei P20 Plus – "Charlotte" – Ceramic Black / Twilight
Huawei P20 Lite – "Anne" – Midnight Black / Klein Blue / Sakura Pink— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) January 27, 2018
He also said the smartphones will indeed be called the P20 and not the P11, although this has yet to be confirmed in any official capacity.
Considering the fact that Huawei's P10 lineup launched in eight different colors, we expected the P20 line have more than five color options. We'll know more when the smartphones get announced, which is expected to happen at MWC in February.
Quandt didn't share any details about the specs of the devices, but we have a good idea of what to expect thanks to the rumors we've heard so far. The P20 and P20 Plus will likely feature the Kirin 970 chipset that also powers the Mate 10 series. The smartphones may house a triple-lens 40 MP rear camera setup with 5x hybrid zoom and feature a facial recognition that's safer than Apple's Face ID.
