The Honor 7X has found itself at the top of an Amazon bestsellers list after three days on sale. Honor made the announcement in a press release yesterday, stating that the 7X and View10 were "off to a successful start in the US."
Amazon's bestseller lists are an indicator of how well a product is selling in a specific category or subcategory. It's updated every hour, and the Honor 7X currently sits at the top of the "unlocked cell phones" section.
The competition isn't exactly fierce in this category at the moment, however. Right now, the top ten includes several sub-$50 BLU phones, the iPhone 6s released in 2015, the Essential Phone (which is in the number two spot after a recent sale) and the Moto G5 Plus with lock screen ads (the troubled one). Moreover, products almost always sell most units in their first month on sale, so in a week without many releases, Honor gave itself a good shot at that number one bestseller title.
In its announcement post, Honor also vowed to "continue to bring outstanding technologies, user experience and value to consumers in the U.S." No doubt its owner, Huawei, will try to do the same—with or without carrier support.
