I'm sure you're all aware by now that Google officially announced the next major version of Android, 8.0 Oreo, just a few days ago. As is tradition for a new version of Android, Google also unveiled a statue to coincide with the new Android version.
The Android Oreo statue, in our opinion, is one of the best ones Google has released in recent years. It's an Android Oreo superhero, complete with a cape and Oreo shield.
Below you'll find a behind-the-scenes video (featuring a cameo from an Android Authority team member) that walks us through how this new statue was created:
As you can see, the statue was first assembled in an office space, where it was also tested in order to make sure it works as it should. The statue is motorized and can move into a couple of different positions, which allowed those at the event to take some cool photos with it. After it was tested, Google's team actually had to take it apart to transport it to the event's location, where it was then reassembled before the company showed it off to the public.
