The first of the month is usually a somber occasion, as Hulu removes a certain amount of content at the end of the month. However, the popular streaming service Hulu also adds a variable number of movies and TV shows to its already-large catalog of content.

New on Hulu – August 2019 highlights
August 1 – Spider-Man 3
I almost feel bad for Spider-Man 3, which is best known for turning Peter Parker into a male West Side Story cast member. Even if the movie missed the mark with some fans of the friendly neighborhood hero, it doesn't take itself too seriously and is still a fun watch today. Oh, and seeing Venom on the big screen for the first time doesn't hurt, either.
August 2 – Into the Dark
The latest episode in Blumhouse's horror anthology series, School Spirit is about four students who are sent to the first Saturday detention of the school year. Unfortunately for the students, they're not the only ones in the school. This is the second-to-last episode for Into the Dark, so enjoy it while you can!
August 23 – Mission: Impossible — Fallout
The latest entry in the long-running Mission: Impossible franchise, Fallout is also arguably the best entry. Helping its case is the amazing bathroom fight scene, though the rest of the movie shines just as brightly. If you're a fan of action movies and like all things Tom Cruise, don't miss Fallout.
