Over at Xperia Blog, we found some new photos of what appears to be a leaked 2019 Sony flagship device. Although we aren't certain, it could very well be the expected Sony Xperia 2, the follow-up to the Sony Xperia 1, which launched earlier this year.
However, it is possible that this won't be a true follow-up but rather an iterative upgrade. It's also possible this could simply be a 5G variant of the Xperia 1 or an Xperia 1.5 of some sort.
Whatever the case, it's a good bet this mystery smartphone will get an announcement at IFA 2019, which starts next week in Berlin.
Check out all the leaked images below:

We can also see that it retains the triple rear camera setup of the Xperia 1, albeit moved to the left side rather than in the center.
We can also see Sony's distinctive camera shutter button at the bottom right and, if you look close, you can see the side-mounted fingerprint sensor above that.
All in all, the device is not all that different from the Xperia 1, which leads us to believe this is either the Sony Xperia 2 or some other iterative upgrade of that device.
IFA 2019 is just around the corner, so we'll likely have an official announcement of whatever this is in just a few days. In the meantime, what do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
