Pretty much all the info on the Motorola One Zoom just leaked (Updated)

Motorola One Zoom Leaked Press Render 3 Twitter

Update, August 26, 2019 (1:45PM EDT): We have new images and information from MySmartPrice. Make sure to check out the updated article below for the new info!

Over on Roland Quandt's Twitter page, most of the pre-release info related to the Motorola One Zoom just leaked. The device — which we originally speculated would be called the Motorola One Pro — looks to be a solid mid-range entry from Motorola.

It's a good thing that the company likely isn't using "Pro" in the name, though, because this is definitely not something that would compete with a premium flagship such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or even the OnePlus 7 Pro. Instead, this device will compete with devices firmly in the mid-range such as those from Xiaomi and Honor.

First, let's take a look at some leaked press renders of the device. You can see that it comes in two colors: a traditional black as well as a classy-looking purple:

#gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

It might be hard to tell from the images but the company logo on the back of the Motorola One Pro lights up. It's not clear if this only lights up when there's a notification or if it's just constantly lit. It's also not clear if you can control the lighting in any way — if you can, that certainly would be cool.

It's also hard to miss the quad-camera on the back. The primary sensor of that setup is a 48MP shooter, according to Quandt, and two of the other sensors are related to optical image stabilization (OIS). Quandt didn't divulge the specifics of the sensors, though.

On the front, you find a waterdrop notch. There's no fingerprint sensor on the back, which leads us to believe it will have an in-display sensor.

We expect the Motorola One Zoom to come with a Snapdragon 675, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage.

As far as internal specs go, Quandt says we can expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. Quandt didn't divulge any solid details on battery capacity but he did mention there will be a microSD slot included.

Finally, Quandt did give us an idea of pricing: 399 euros (~$445). That price doesn't seem too bad, considering you're getting that massive camera package.

Oh, and one more thing: even though this device is expected to be called the Motorola One Zoom it likely won't come with Android One. Instead, it will come with standard Android along with Alexa integration. This means the device could possibly be an Amazon exclusive at the beginning, if not permanently.

The folks at MySmartPrice echoed Quandt's claims on the One Zoom's specs. The outlet even released new renders of the unannounced phone, with the phone featuring a rear quad-camera setup and waterdrop-style display notch. We also see the phone in three colors: green, dark copper, and purple.

MySmartPrice also claimed the phone will be called the One Pro in most markets. In some markets, the phone will launch with Amazon Alexa and other pre-installed apps. In those select markets, the phone will be known as the One Zoom.

What do you think? Would you spend $450 on this device? Let us know in the comments!
