- Vivo has launched its new handset, the Vivo V11, in India.

Vivo has launched the Vivo V11 in India, a new mid-range device with a full-screen display. The Chinese OEM revealed the handset in the region earlier today andm rather excitingly, it'll be on sale before the end of the week.
Vivo V11 highlights include its 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera and 25MP front camera, backed by the company's AI tech. This means the cameras benefit from backlight HDR and Low Light modes, merging multiple frames in a single shot for superior exposure and detail. The tech also assists with automatic Scene Recognition, and the ubiquitous Portrait Mode complete with "AI Face Shaping technology" (the latter sounds a bit Mission: Impossible to me!).
The V11 also includes a 3,315 mAh battery with "dual-engine" fast charging, yet fans might be disappointed that it's working over Micro-USB rather than the more modern USB Type-C.
The handset comes soon after the V11 Pro, which launched in India earlier this month. The V11 arrives without the in-display fingerprint sensor that the pro model has, going for a rear-mounted scanner instead, and includes a Helio P60 chip instead of Snapdragon 660. You'll also find less storage — it's capped at 64GB RAM rather than the 128GB the pro model allows for — lower camera specs, and a slightly lower battery capacity (the pro model has a 3,400mAh capacity battery).

It'll land with the typical slew of cashback and credit offers and it's coming in Starry Night Black and Nebula Purple colors.
The V11 faces stiff competition in the segment in India right now, however, as the world-beating Xiaomi Pocophone F1 was unveiled there only recently, along with the likes of the similarly-styled Oppo F9, and Samsung's first triple camera phone, the Galaxy A7 (2018). Whether it can hold up in the face of all of that remains to be seen.
