Xiaomi has a lot of fantastic phones, and they all offer great value. The company does most of its business in China and India, but it's slowly expanding to Western markets as well. You can already buy Xiaomi phones from the company's online store in European countries like Spain and France, with more expected to join the list somewhere down the line. However, Xiaomi's phones aren't available in the U.S. yet.

You'll find the best Xiaomi phones you can get your hands on below, divided into three categories: high-end, mid-range, and budget.
Best high-end smartphone: Xiaomi Mi 8
The Xiaomi Mi 8 can take on the best of them. It's powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6GB of RAM, just like the Galaxy S9 Plus. It features a 6.21-inch Full HD+ display, a dual-camera setup, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition features an in-display fingerprint scanner and 3D facial recognition.
If that's not enough for you, there also a beefed-up Explorer Edition of the device, available with 8GB of RAM, an in-display fingerprint reader, and 3D facial recognition. It also sports a transparent back, so you can see the internals of the device — sort of. Other specs and features include up to 256GB of storage, dual-SIM support, and a 20MP selfie snapper. All of these things combined make the Mi 8 one of the best Xiaomi phones you can get your hands on.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is available in a bunch of markets including a few European ones. Spain is one of them, where the phone retails for 500 euros (~$585). The Explorer Edition is only available in certain Asian markets. So to get it, you'll have to buy it from Chinese retailers like GearBest, which currently sells it for $730.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
The Mi Mix 2S is similar to the Mi 8 in many ways. It's powered by the same chipset (Snapdragon 845), has up to 8GB of RAM, and sports a dual-camera setup on the back. However, it has a slightly smaller display at 6 inches and doesn't feature a notch — despite having a super thin bezel on top. This means Xiaomi had to place the selfie camera in the bottom bezel, which takes getting used to.
The phone sports a 3,400mAh battery, up to 256GB of storage, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also supports wireless charging, which was missing on its predecessor. The device retails for around 500 euros (~$585) in Europe.
Xiaomi Black Shark
The last high-end model on our best Xiaomi phones list is the gaming-focused Black Shark. It supports a one-sided, "plug-and-play" gamepad (sold separately), features an integrated liquid cooling system to avoid overheating during long gaming sessions, and houses a dedicated "Shark key" for entering a high-performance gaming mode.
In addition to its gaming features, the phone's specs are what puts it on this list. The Black Shark is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset, comes with up to 8GB of RAM, packs a 4,000mAh battery, and has a 6-inch Full HD+ display. Unfortunately, the phone has only been released in China so far with a starting price of 3,000 yuan (~$440). You can order yours from various Chinese online retailers including AliExpress, where the Xiaomi phone is surprisingly even cheaper at $410.
Best mid-range smartphone: Pocophone F1
The Pocophone F1 (or Poco F1 in India) isn't sold under Xiaomi's name, but it's made by the Chinese company. The specs of the Pocophone F1 make it seem like a flagship device, with a Snapdragon 845 chipset andup to 8GB of RAM, but the phone can't really compare with the likes of the Galaxy Note 9 and even the Xiaomi Mi 8. It's missing a number of high-end features.
The Pocophone F1 is best described as a premium mid-range smartphone.
It doesn't have wireless charging and isn't IP rated for protection against water and dust. It also doesn't have a premium glass or metal design — it sports a polycarbonate (plastic) back — and features an average dual-camera setup on the back. Most users will be able to overlook these things because of the extremely low price.
The Pocophone F1 will start at just 330 euros (~$385). It sports a 6.18-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution, comes with up to 256GB of storage, and packs a massive 4,000mAh battery. The device offers a fantastic price-performance ratio, which is the biggest reason why it made our list of the best Xiaomi phones. It isn't on sale in most countries yet, but that's expected to change soon.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset, comes with 4 or 6GB of RAM, and sports a 6-inch Full HD+ display. The handset is part of Google's Android One program, which means it runs a stock version of Android. It's also guaranteed to get at least two years of OS updates.
Xiaomi's mid-ranger sports a premium metal body and is equipped with an excellent camera for the price. Other specs and features worth mentioning include a 3,000mAh battery, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 20MP selfie snapper. The phone offers great value for money, starting at just 250 euros (~$295).
Xiaomi Mi Max 3
If you're looking for a phone with a large screen, the Mi Max 3 might be right up your alley. It sports a massive 6.9-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. You'll find the Snapdragon 636 chipset under the hood along with 4 or 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
The phone sports a massive 5,500mAh battery and can get up to around 70 percent with just one hour of charging. It also comes with a rear dual-camera setup, an IR blaster, and a headphone jack. In China, the 4GB/64GB version of the Mi Max 3 is available for 1,700 yuan (~$250), while the 6GB/128GB variant goes for 2,000 yuan (~$290). The entry-level version is a little more expensive on AliExpress, retailing for around $270.
Best budget smartphone: Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite
The Mi A2 Lite is one of the best Xiaomi phones on a budget because of its solid spec sheet, great build quality, and fantastic software experience. It's an Android One device, which means it runs a clean, bloat-free version of Google's OS. Its metal body packs the Snapdragon 625 chipset and 3 or 4GB of RAM under the hood.
Despite being a budget device, it still comes with a dual-camera setup on the back. The handset also features a 5.84-inch IPS LCD display, a fingerprint scanner, and a massive 4,000mAh battery. It even has a headphone jack on board.
Sure, it has a rather generic design and its camera doesn't perform well in low-light situations, but that's normal for a budget device. The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is already available in many markets including a number of European ones, where the device goes for 170 euros (~$210).

Xiaomi Redmi 6
The Redmi 6 doesn't impress with its specs, but it offers a great bang for the buck. If you're looking for a Xiaomi phone on a budget, this is a fantastic option. It's powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, sports 3 or 4GB of RAM, and comes with up to 64GB of expandable storage. It can't compare to the Xiaomi Mi 8, but it packs enough power under the hood for the average user.
Other specs and features include a dual-camera setup on the back, a 3,000mAh battery, and a 5.45-inch HD+ display. In Spain, Xiaomi is selling it via its online store for 160 euros, which translates to around $190.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A
This is the cheapest device on our list of the best Xiaomi phones — it comes in at just 120 euros (~$140). It has the same 5.45-inch display as the Xiaomi Redmi 6, but it's powered by a different chipset — MediaTek Helio A22 — paired with either 2 or 3GB of RAM.
It comes with a single 13MP shooter on the back, packs a 3,000mAh battery, and offers up to 32GB of expandable storage. The phone features quite a modern design for its price point with an 18:9 aspect ratio and somewhat thin bezels around the display. It's on sale in places like China and a number of European markets and available in loads of colors including Black, Blue, Silver, and Rose Gold.
