LineageOS is one of the most popular custom Android ROMs out there, available for a variety of devices. Now, LineageOS 15.1, based on Android 8.1, has spread its wings to a few more phones.
According to Android Police, these phones are the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 720p and 1080p, Moto Z2 Force, Sony Xperia XA2, and Wingtech Redmi 2. The outlet adds that LineageOS 15.1 builds aren't available just yet for some of these phones, but they should show up in a few days.
Nevertheless, the latest version of LineageOS brings all of the stock Android additions, such as notification snoozing and the autofill framework. Other noteworthy additions include custom accent colors, dark/light mode, QR code support in the stock camera, an overhauled launcher, and Project Treble.
These latest phones join several devices that have already received LineageOS 15.1. Previously supported phones include the Nexus 5X and 6P, Moto Z, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 6, OnePlus 3/3T, and OnePlus 5/5T.
News of more supported devices comes a few months after the team announced the LineageSDK. The development kit allows app developers to easily adapt their apps to the custom ROM. For example, a developer can ensure that their app automatically switches to night mode when the user switches to this mode.
