The Google Pixel 2 XL is still a rather pricey proposition, but if you don't mind a refurbished model, Best Buy has an attractive deal for you.
The retail chain is offering a 64GB "Geek Squad certified refurbished" Pixel 2 XL for just $499.99. According to Best Buy's outlet guide, Geek Squad-certified refurbished devices are in excellent condition and include the original accessories and packaging.
The retailer claims this is $350 off the regular price, but it's quite misleading to compare the price of a refurbished device to that of a brand-new model. Nevertheless, the $500 price is still a tasty deal compared to refurbished models on Amazon, which are usually pegged at $600+. Keen on taking advantage of this Pixel 2 XL deal? Then hit the button below to get started.
What do you get for the price?
The Pixel 2 XL doesn't have the latest processor, but it has a solid spec sheet nonetheless. You're getting a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of (unfortunately fixed) storage. The phone also offers a 6-inch 1440p OLED display (18:9), IP67 dust/water resistance, and a 3,520mAh battery.
But its biggest selling point might be the 12MP f/1.8 main camera, delivering fantastic HDR+ pictures and portrait mode snaps. Our Pixel 2 review was full of praise for the camera experience, as Android Authority's Jimmy Westenberg said the phone took "stunning" shots. He also noted the photo processing speed as it seamlessly slaps exposures together.
"Shutter to file speeds are as high as ever, which is impressive considering how the Pixels are essentially taking multiple photos at all times to apply its HDR+," Jimmy wrote. "Even in lower-light situations, the camera will not keep the shutter open for long to compensate for exposure — it just snaps and gets to work."
