- An anonymous source claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be the exclusive handset to play Fortnite for Android.
- Samsung Galaxy Note 9 owners will allegedly be able to play the game for 30 days before anyone else.
- There might also be a free V-Bucks gift for those who pre-order the Galaxy Note 9.
An anonymous source speaking with 9to5Google says that Samsung is planning to entice people to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with an interesting offer: the chance to play the official release of Fortnite for Android before anyone else.
According to the source, owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will have exclusive rights to download Fortnite from the Google Play Store for 30 days after the device's release. After that probationary period, Fortnite will go live for all supported Android smartphones and tablets.
In other words, if you don't have a Galaxy Note 9, you'll have to look on with envy while other people play Fortnite's official release for a whole month.
This information comes from an anonymous source, so take it with a grain of salt. However, 9to5Google is a trustworthy site, so we're inclined to believe that this is true.
In addition to exclusive play rights for Fortnite, Samsung will also allegedly offer free V-Bucks for in-game use when you pre-order the Note 9. It's not clear on how much, but it's likely to be in the $100 — $150 range.
If you don't care about V-Bucks, Samsung will allegedly also offer a free set of AKG headphones. You'll likely be able to pick one or the other as a free gift during the pre-order process.
With the Galaxy Note 9 launching on August 9 and the rumored release date being August 24, it could potentially be until the end of September before Fortnite for Android gets a wide release. If you can't see yourself waiting that long to play, you might have to start thinking about shelling out for a Galaxy Note 9.
