- A Bluetooth SIG certification has listed a "Galaxy Note 20 Ultra."
- The listing may (or may not) contradict previous reports that the Note 20 series would only have two models.
- The Note 20 Ultra will support Bluetooth 5.0.
Samsung is no stranger to elite-level flagships, but the Galaxy S20 series took things to another level with the super-spec'd, super-sized Galaxy S20 Ultra. Initial reports suggested that Samsung's already pretty huge phablet series wouldn't follow suit, but there's now evidence pointing to the existence of a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
The evidence comes from a Bluetooth SIG certification, first spotted by MySmartPrice, that explicitly names the listed device as the "Galaxy Note20 Ultra." That contradicts claims we heard from a CEO-turned-tipster from the display supply chain industry who claimed there would only be two core Note 20 models.
Before we all get too excited at the prospect of an absolutely massive Galaxy Note phone with absurd specs, there's a small detail that should be kept in mind. The certification lists the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra's model number as SM-N986U. This model number had previously been associated with the expected Galaxy Note 20 Plus in early rumors.
Rather than the initial reports of only two Note models being false Samsung could, in theory, be dropping the Plus moniker for the larger Galaxy Note 20 series phone and instead adopting the Ultra branding.

This is all speculation at this point so we'll have to wait and see what Samsung's plans are. Either way, there's no way of getting around it: that's an official certificate with the name Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on it.
The only other bit of info we can glean is that the Note 20 Ultra will support Bluetooth 5.0. That's not the latest version, but it's the same one we saw on the Galaxy S20 series.
