- Mobvoi announced the TicWatch C2 Plus, a small upgrade over the original TicWatch C2 from 2018.
- The watch has more RAM and comes in three new colors.
- Judging by the specs and price, we'd recommend looking elsewhere for your smartwatch needs.
It looks like Mobvoi is trying to get rid of some of its stock. Today, the AI-focused company announced the Mobvoi TicWatch C2 Plus, a slightly upgraded take on the same TicWatch C2 that launched nearly two years ago.
The TicWatch C2 Plus now comes with double the RAM — 1GB up from 512MB — and three new color options: Onyx, Rose Gold, and Platinum. Mobvoi is also throwing in two straps with each order, one black silicone strap and a leather strap to match whichever color option you choose.

Those are the only changes. That means the TicWatch C2 Plus comes with the same (extremely old) Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset that's responsible for much of the lag that was present throughout Wear OS' first few years on the market. Needless to say, you shouldn't buy a smartwatch in 2020 with this processor. Mobvoi claims the extra RAM gives the C2 Plus a "noticeable boost and smoother user experience," but we are skeptical more RAM will make enough of a difference.
The Mobvoi TicWatch C2 Plus goes on sale today, June 23, on Mobvoi.com and Amazon for $209.99 / £189.99 / €209.99.
Again, there are better options out there. The Fossil Gen 5 is actually cheaper than the TicWatch C2 Plus at $199.99, and the Skagen Falster 3 isn't much more at ~$233. Both of these watches have more features and better specs than Mobvoi's watch.
