At IFA 2018, JBL announced the Endurance Peak true wireless earbuds. Standalone playback time is reportedly four hours, but the charging case adds an extra 24 hours of playback. They also support quick charge; 10 minutes of charging provides one hour of playback. That said, the earbuds are durable too, boasting IPX7 certification. This allows them to be completely submerged up to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes.
Though the durability is impressive, these are large for true wireless earbuds. The PowerHook design hooks around your ears as opposed to the more salient direct in-ear fit that we've grown accustom to with truly wireless technology. Additionally, the earbuds automatically power on or off when putting on or removing them from your ears.
What's more, users can alternate between mono and stereo listening via the touch controls on the right earbuds, which is great news for anyone with a hearing impairment.
The JBL Endurance Peak operate via Bluetooth 4.1 and will be available this November for £129.99 (~$170).
