If you want to buy a Chromebook for yourself or someone else, it's pretty easy to find one on a budget. After all, that's the whole idea behind Chrome OS devices — they serve as a cheaper alternative to Windows laptops. However, some Chromebooks have reached even lower prices due to recent sales or discounts.
We've rounded up some of the best Chromebook deals on the internet, so you won't have to go searching too hard to find a solid Chromebook notebook at a good price. New deals and price cuts pop up all the time, so we will update this post as new Chromebook deals show up.
HP Chromebook 14 (Refurbished)
This refurbished HP Chromebook 14 model at Newegg is perfect if you just want to surf the internet and watch some YouTube videos on a bigger screen. The 3.74-pound notebook has a 14-inch display, and uses an Intel Celeron N2840 processor clocked at 2.16 GHz. It has 4GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, with a microSD card slot so you can add additional storage. It's onboard battery should last you up to nine hours.
The HP Chromebook 14 is also supposed to run Android apps from the Google Play Store. While it is a refurbished model, it should work like a new Chromebook with a limited warranty. It's available now on Newegg for $162.
Samsung Chromebook Plus (V1 – Refurbished)
Samsung just released the second version of its Chromebook Plus laptop, but the first version of the notebook is still a solid product, and actually beats its successor in a few ways.
The hardware specs for the Chromebook Plus V1 include a 12.3-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,600, which is actually bigger than the new
Chromebook Plus V2 — in both size and resolution. The display also rotates 360 degrees on a hinge so it can be used like a big touchscreeen tablet. It's also a bit lighter, at just 2.2 pounds compared 2.93 pounds.
Inside, the Samsung Chromebook Plus V1 has an ARM-based OP1 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card. It features two USB Type-C ports, a headphone jack, and an included stylus. The refurbished model is now available at Amazon for $409.
Asus Chromebook Flip
The Asus Chromebook Flip remains one of the best Chromebook products you can get. The 2.7-pound C213 model includes an 11.3-inch display that flips 360 degrees so the screen
can be used like a tablet and, yes, it
even runs Android apps. Inside the Flip has a Intel dual-core Apollo Lake N3350 processor, with 32GB storage and 4GB of RAM.
The Asus Chromebook Flip is also very rugged. It meets the Mil-STD 810G rating for dust and water resistance, and even has a spill resistant keyboard. The battery inside the laptop should also last up to 12 hours on a single charge. It's available now on Amazon for $344.76 without a stylus, or for $349.99 with a stylus.
Lenovo Ideapad Chromebook
Lenovo may not been as well known a Chromebook maker as others on this list, but it releases some solid Chrome OS products. One of them is this Ideapad Chromebook 2.7-pound model, with an 11.6-inch screen. It has an Intel Celeron N3060 1.6GHz dual core processor, 4GB memory, and 16GB of storage, with a microSD card reader to add even more storage.
Finally, the battery life for the Lenovo Ideapad Chromebook is pretty solid, apparently lasting up to 10 hours on a single charge. You can snap up this Chromebook deal now on Amazon for just $185.
Acer is one of the biggest Chromebook providers, and its Chromebook 14 is well made and powerful. The 3.42-pound notebook with an aluminum body has a 14-inch Full HD display, and has an Intel Celeron N3160 quad-core Processor running at 1.6GHz inside. It also has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 3950mAh battery that should last up to 12 hours on a single charge.
