It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus will get a small design tweak after all. Previously leaked renders of the true wireless earbuds missed out on a tiny detail. New renders, however, show the addition of what look like Left (L) and Right (R) buttons on the charging case.
Pressing these buttons could indicate the charging status of individual earbuds. This way, when you wear one earbud and leave the other in the charging case, you'll know exactly when it's usable again.
The charging case of the current Galaxy Buds displays a combined charging status, even though it does mark the left and right buds separately.
Other than this tiny change, the fresh Galaxy Buds Plus renders posted by 91Mobiles show a familiar design. The true wireless 'buds look exactly the same as their predecessors. It's probably just Samsung practicing the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' philosophy.
There also appears to be a new blue colorway. Until now, we've seen the Galaxy Buds don white, black, and bright yellow colors. The blue earbuds definitely look good and could possibly match a similar color on the upcoming Galaxy S11/S20 smartphone series.
The Galaxy Buds Plus are said to launch alongside the Galaxy S11 phones in February. They're expected to bring better sound quality and battery life, but full specs haven't surfaced in leaks just yet. We'll probably know more about them closer to Samsung's Unpacked event.
