The changelog notes that the update brings Android 10, gesture navigation, and support for "Google Play system update" (presumably the Project Mainline initiative). We can also expect Smart Reply functionality, system-wide dark mode, and tweaked permissions.
We're glad to see Asus supporting its flagship phone, as we thought it made for incredible value at $499. Our own David Imel praised the phone's specs, build quality, and UI in his Asus Zenfone 6 review. It wasn't all perfect though, as he criticized the display quality, lack of water resistance, and slow charging speeds.
