It seems the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 (or the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4, depending on your location) is shaping up to be the most successful fitness band from the company yet.
According to Donovan Sung, a global spokesperson for Xiaomi, the company shipped one million units in just eight days, a new record for the line. Sung announced the news on Twitter yesterday.

Although the comments underneath this tweet are mostly positive and congratulatory, there are quite a few people lamenting that the Mi Band 4 hasn't yet landed in India. The Xiaomi brand is huge in that country, where it is the number one smartphone manufacturer — even larger than Samsung, Huawei, and Apple. Why the Mi Band 4 isn't there yet is a curious mystery, although it will likely arrive soon.
The Mi Band series brings many of the features people want in a fitness tracker at an incredibly cheap price point. Ths Mi Band 4 has a full-color, AMOLED touchscreen display, 5ATM water resistance, Bluetooth 5.0, a six-axis sensor, AI assistant functionality (via Xiaomi's Xiao AI assistant), and a heart-rate monitor.
The standard version packs a 135mAh battery that should last for up to 20 days of battery life. This version lacks NFC capability, while the Mi Band 4 with NFC uses a 125mAh battery that delivers up to 15 days of power.
The Mi Band 4 starts at $41.99 at GearBest if you want one in the U.S. The Chinese pricing for the device is 169 yuan (~$24) for the standard model and 229 yuan (~$33) for the Mi Band 4 NFC.
