We are less than a week away from the official announcement of the OnePlus 6T, but that hasn't stopped leaker Ishan Agarwal from tweeting an official-looking spec sheet for the phone.
As you can see from Agarwal's tweet, one of the main differences between the OnePlus 6T and the outgoing OnePlus 6 is an updated display. In addition to the in-display fingerprint sensor, if this specs sheet is correct, the OnePlus 6T will feature a 6.4-inch screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080. This is a slight bump up over the OnePlus 6's 6.28-inch 2,280 x 1,080 display.
So here is the Big OnePlus leak excusively by me! Full specs of OnePlus 6T (earlier ones were wrong) and Product images detailing new features!Great, right?!More in this thread itself. The other significant improvement is hidden under the incredibly shrunken down teardrop notch is a new 20MP front-facing camera. Instead of keeping the 16MP sensor with a ƒ/2.0 aperture that we've had before, the OnePlus is moving up to a 20MP selfie shooter with a ƒ/1.7 aperture. Around back, though, the smartphone appears to be keeping the same dual-camera setup which includes 16MP and 20MP sensors.
Internally, it's more of the same specs that we saw in the OnePlus 6. This includes a Snapdragon 845 CPU and Adreno 630 GPU. Additionally, the OnePlus 6T is set to include a 3,700 mAh battery which is 400mAh more than what was used to power the OnePlus 6.
What's not clear is if there will be multiple RAM and built-in storage options like in previous years. According to this leaked specs sheet, the OnePlus 6T will come with 128GB of built-in storage and 8GB of RAM. There's a chance that this is just specific for one variant and that there might be others with more or less storage and some with 6GB of RAM.
In addition to the specs sheet, Agarwal leaked three OnePlus 6T promotion images. Going from left to right, the Chinese manufacturer is focusing on the phone's new in-display fingerprint sensor, the handset's refined design helped by thinner bezels and a smaller notch, and increasingly better performance due in part by the OnePlus 6T's 8GB of RAM.
Unlike its predecessors, the OnePlus 6T appears to have its eyes set on the U.S. market. In addition to the latest rumor that the handset might be certified to work on Verizon, OnePlus is still believed to have partnered with T-Mobile to sell the OnePlus 6T. With U.S. carrier support, OnePlus could see a huge jump in sales and brand awareness.
Unfortunately, we still do not have any finalized pricing information for the phone. As the outgoing OnePlus 6 started at $529, we're hoping that carrier support doesn't bump up the cost by too much. We'll learn more on October 29, when OnePlus is set to announce the phone in NYC.
