If you were to travel back in a time a few years and head to a store to buy a 'budget' phone, you'd likely find yourself paying at least a few hundred dollars and yet the phone you would end up with wouldn't even be all that great –certainly world's away from what you'd get from a flagship device. In 2017, your money goes much further when buying an 'affordable' phone. It's become increasingly easy to get a good deal without sacrificing too much in the way of features or performance.
Now Amazon wants to make things even easier by offering up a number of unlocked "budget friendly" devices at a pretty steep discount. As part of its "Amazon's Unlocked Days", the e-tailer is offering handsets from Sony, LeEco, Lenovo, Asus, and Coolpad.
The amount of the discount varies. Over at Camp Sony you can get the Xperia XA for just $180 over its original $250 price point, and the XA Ultra for $270 instead of $330. Meanwhile, Lenovo is offering the Tango-powered Lenovo Phab 2 Pro for $370 ($130 off) and the standard Phab 2 for $150 ($50 off). That's just a few of the key phone models offered, but you can find the full list linked below.
