The first apparent Samsung Galaxy S11 Plus renders leaked earlier this year, and one of the most divisive features was the rear camera housing (seen above and here). These renders showed cameras that were arranged in a haphazard fashion, as opposed to the symmetrical design seen on other leaked Galaxy S11 phones.
Now, serial tipster OnLeaks has tweeted a revised render, apparently showing a Galaxy S11 Plus with a neatly arranged layout of lenses. The leaker claims the original render was based on a "first stage prototype." Check out the latest render below.
Next up, the #GalaxyS11Plus…
It appears the renders I shared one month ago were based upon a first stage prototype which had different rear camera layout.
Here an updated render based upon the latest prototype I got and which depict what I assume is the final configuration… pic.twitter.com/IhUWdQh9JN— Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) December 27, 2019
The latest render comes two weeks after fellow tipster Ice Universe posted a similar render, purportedly showing the Galaxy S11 Plus with a camera setup that was "not so messy."
Either way, it looks like Samsung's Galaxy S11 Plus might not be joining the likes of the Nokia 9 PureView and other phones with ugly camera housings. It's still pretty weird, but it's no iPhone 11 Pro.
