Google's big hardware showcase is just around the corner. The company is holding an event on Tuesday, October 15 to unveil the new Pixels. While the Pixel 4 series will go down in history as one of the most-leaked smartphone series ever, we hope Google still has some surprises up its sleeve for its fall event.
How to watch Google's October 15 event live
You can mark your calendars for 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, October 15 — that's when Google's livestream will begin at the link below. The company is usually on schedule with these events, so be ready to watch it live with the rest of the world.
The company has already posted a livestream page for the October 15 event and you can watch it through the YouTube video embedded below.
What to expect
There's a lot more besides the Pixel 4 phones that the Mountain View-based company could showcase on October 15. We expect Google to launch two new Nest devices and a new Chromebook as well. Here's everything you can expect from Google's marquee event on October 15.
Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL
What have we not heard about the new Pixel 4 series? We know that Google will launch two phones, the Google Pixel 4 and Google Pixel 4 XL. The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have now appeared in multiple hands-on videos, detailing their specs, design, as well as unique features such as Motion Sense.

The Pixel 4 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch display, while the Pixel 4 XL will get a 6.3-inch screen. Both are expected to come with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a first for any Pixel phone. The phones could up the RAM from 4GB to 6GB this time around. Both are powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC, so don't expect the updated 855 Plus.
There's much more to know about the Pixel 4 and 4XL thanks to pre-release units that are already available for sale on the black market. You can read about all the new specs, features, apps and more headed to the Pixel 4 series on our dedicated hub for the phones.
Nest Mini
Google is also expected to introduce the second-gen Nest Mini at the October 15 event. 9to5Google reported that the device will be a follow-up to 2017's Google Home Mini.
Expect the Google Nest Mini to come with a built-in wall mount, an aux port, and improved sound over the Home Mini. It will, of course, come with the Google Assistant baked in to achieve its smarts.
A Google device with a design similar to the leaked Nest Mini recently popped up in an FCC listing. The FCC listing paired with the leak suggests that the Nest Mini could launch soon. What better time to do it than a dedicated hardware event?
Nest Wi-Fi
Once again reported by 9to5Google, the Nest Wi-Fi is expected to debut at Google's October 15 event as a refresh for the existing Google Wi-Fi router. Nest Wi-Fi is expected to be accompanied by two signal-boosting beacons which will double up as Google Assistant speakers.
Google could offer a new design and three color options for the Nest Wi-Fi and its beacons.
Moreover, a recent FCC listing suggests that the Nest Wi-Fi could support 802.15.4 Thread at 2.4GHz, in addition to 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth.
Google Pixelbook 2 or Pixelbook Go
Earlier this year, Google gave up on the Pixel Slate tablets and said it will focus its first-party hardware efforts on Chrome OS laptops instead. The original Google Pixelbook is now two years old and due for a refresh. 9to5Google suggests the new device could be called the Pixelbook Go and will come with a 13.3-inch 4K display.
It will reportedly retain its 2-in-1 form factor as well as support for the Pixelbook Pen. However, it could be lighter than its predecessor. The Chromebook codenamed Atlas also appeared in a video back in March and it now looks like this could be the Pixelbook Go.
Given its recent appearance in an FCC listing, Google could make the new Pixelbook official on October 15.
Anything else?
There isn't much evidence out there to show if Google plans to launch anything else in terms of new hardware. It's possible the company refreshes the Pixel Buds to make them truly wireless. 9to5Google quotes a source saying that Pixel Buds 2 will launch soon. However, the report is thin on details as of now.
