Razer has released its latest update for the Razer Phone. The factory images were posted on the official Razer Developer portal, while users in the Razer Phone subreddit have noted that they've received it over-the-air also.
The update's patch notes state that the device has received a new Portrait mode alongside the May Android security patches. The Razer Phone's camera has been one of its most commonly complained about features, and Razer has made a number of improvements to it since its release in 2017.
Portrait mode, which produces images with a bokeh background effect, is fairly common on flagship smartphones now and a welcome addition to the Razer Phone. Software upgrades, however, can only improve the Razer Phone's camera to a certain extent.
The patch notes also suggest various bug fixes and improvements, one of which is said to be a fix for a multi-touch bug that made the display behave erratically when more than one finger was on it. Rounding off the update, the ability to lock items in the "recents" menu was also reportedly added.
Look out for the update rolling out OTA in the coming days, or visit developer.razer.com if you want to install it manually.
