- VPNHub is a new VPN service from adult entertainment site PornHub.
- VPNHub offers a free tier of service as well as a premium service that you pay for monthly.
- While the VPN market is pretty saturated, a new service with PornHub's pedigree could do really well.
It seems there are a million different VPN services out there, and yet another one launched today. But this one is a little different because of who owns it: PornHub, one of the largest websites dedicated to adult entertainment, and one of the top 50 sites by traffic in the world.
Dubbed VPNHub, the new service is completely free and promises unlimited bandwidth without any user data-logging of any kind.
There is a premium tier for the service that offers faster connections, a wider range of country nodes, and an advertisement-free experience. The cost for that tier is between $12 and $14 per month, depending on the platform.
VPNHub is available as an Android app, as well as on iOS, Windows, and macOS. Check out the company's ad below (don't worry, it's totally SFW):
For those of you who are unaware of VPNs, a virtual private network is a system which masks your IP address, allowing you to freely browse the internet without anyone (but especially your internet service provider) knowing. According to PornHub, via Venture Beat, many of the site's visitors use VPNs to hide their browsing of PornHub videos, either because of country restrictions when it comes to adult content or simply for privacy reasons.
Thus, it's only natural that PornHub offers its own VPN service to accommodate that practice. This ensures that PornHub visitors have a good experience when they visit the site, as VPNs are notorious for causing slow connection speeds or charging more for high-bandwidth usage.
So far, the more than 100 reviews on the Google Play Store are very favorable. We have a roundup of VPN services here at Android Authority, and we'll likely give this new service a spin to see how it stacks up against the competition. Until then, give the free service a shot to see what you think.
