HTC has teased a device launch set for May 23 — presumably for the HTC U12 Plus. HTC posted a tweet on its U.S. Twitter channel (via Reddit) hinting at the unveiling of "a phone that is more than the sum of its specs."
HTC didn't reference the device by name, but we've encountered plenty of leaks regarding what we believe is the HTC U12 Plus (or HTC U12) and expect it to arrive soon.
The tweet includes an image of a smartphone outline surrounded by components, but it doesn't give us many clues about what's in store. The HTC U12 Plus is tipped to include high-end specs, including a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 18:9, WQHD+ resolution display and dual 12MP + 16MP rear cameras.

Despite its premium specs and critical acclaim, rival company Samsung's Galaxy S9 is said to have seen poor sales on its home soil. Perhaps HTC's "more than the sum of its specs" rhetoric is an attempt to avoid a similar fate for the U12 Plus.
