It looks like Moto X Pure Edition owners in the U.S. are one step closer to securing a taste of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Motorola's David Schuster took to Google+ to announce that the company has begun a soak test for the third-gen Moto X in the U.S., noting that a full launch could begin in as little as a week.
I'm pleased to announce that today we are starting the soak test period of Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade for the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen) in the US. We will monitor the soak for next week and with good results, proceed to full launch.
In early November, Motorola began pushing Marshmallow out to the Moto X Style in India and Brazil, so the timing for the U.S. soak test isn't all that surprising. Hopefully things go swimmingly, and we'll see a full deployment before too long.
