LG G2 won't turn on

My LG G2 D802 won't turn on. I bought it with a cracked screen and digitizer. Bought a new screen and put it on myself. Phone was working but would heat up quickly and I noticed a smell (battery acid) when I kept it in flip case. The back of the flip case had dried spots of sticky liquid...
