The Xiaomi Mi Band series is one of the most popular options for fitness junkies, owing to the variety of features and impressively cheap price tag. We've been waiting for the Mi Band 5 for a while now, and it looks like live images of the wearable have leaked online.
A Weibo user uploaded two images supposedly showing the device in action (h/t: GSMArena). The first image seems to show the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 attached to a charging plug of sorts, while the second picture shows the apparently shows the wearable attached to the wrist-straps. Check out the images below.
The Weibo user adds that the Mi Band 5 uses a "plug-in charger", offers improved battery life, and hints at a 200 yuan (~$28) price tag. We'll likely need to wait until the official launch for the latter, but rumors point to several key features.
A recent leak via Tizen Help points to Alexa integration, menstrual cycle tracking, and SpO2 tracking. Furthermore, the outlet reports that NFC is limited to the Chinese model only. Hopefully this isn't the case or Xiaomi has a change of heart. Otherwise, those wanting NFC will either have to import the Chinese model or use the Mi Band 4.
