1. The coming Motorola RAZR foldable might look like this
I'm going to keep this short: we know there's a new Moto RAZR coming in 2019. What you're about to see probably won't be the final product. But for your Monday morning, it's worth a look.
Here's what we know and what we don't.
RAZR knowns:
- From patents, reports, hints, and tips from Motorola, we all but know it's going to be a foldable device.
- The widely-reported RAZR foldable will be going with the old school clamshell-style for the phone-first device, rather than the phone/tablet foldable approach of Samsung and Huawei.
RAZR unknowns:
- With all that in mind, some very enticing leaks by way of Weibo emerged, offering a mix of entirely possible renders, but entirely unverified as well.
- Here are a few images:
- Once again, there's not a lot to go on and the likelihood of this being 100% accurate is low.
- But it's still an interesting presentation of the kind of folding clamshell phone we expect from Motorola
- It includes the classic RAZR chin, unique "monument" style box, and clever packaging. The biggest takeaway here is that it's very unclear if these renders are leaks or just concept art, and while we've asked Motorola for comment, we probably won't receive a revealing answer.
- Concept? Art? Fabrication? I'm not sure, but I can't wait to see the real RAZR.
