On Thursday, Amazon's Kindle customers discovered that virtually the entire lineup of Marvel Comics' digital collections were heavily discounted, some by as much as 95 percent. Many assumed these huge price cuts were just glitches on Amazon's side, but this unannounced massive sale is still live, as of this writing. As a result, there may not be a better time to grab a bunch of great Marvel Comics Kindle collections for almost nothing.
To give you an idea of how big this sale is, I jumped on it Thursday night and bought a bunch of digital trade paperbacks, including Avengers Vs X-Men for just $8, Secret Wars for just $3.40 and a bunch of others for only $1.80 each. The sale also includes many of Marvel's Star Wars comic collections as well.
If you purchase enough of these digital trade paperbacks from Amazon, via Kindle, you will also be send an extra credit to snag one of a selection of 100 Marvel Comics collections for the price of absolutely nothing at all. Keep in mind that if you have a Comixology account, you can also add these Kindle purchases to your library (Comixology is owned by Amazon).
We are not sure how long this huge sale will last, so you might want to move quickly. These prices are so low, it's hard to resist grabbing a bunch of them right now, even if you are not a Marvel Comics reader. Which of these collections did you decide to buy? Let us know what was in your haul in the comments! Excelsior!
