major overheating when connected to MHL cable

I am getting crazy overheating issues when plugged into an MHL cable to display on my appradio. It will start to charge for about 5 min until the battery and processor temps hit 104*F Then the charge rate drops below what the phone needs and temps keep climbing. I've hit 119*F, even after disabling power manager and taking 2 big and 2 little cores completely offline. I've even throttled the remaining cores to 864MHz max, the GPU I've throttled to 390MHz max.

Any ideas?
