So my G3 has suddenly decided to be unstable. A little frustrated about it as this is my 2nd replacement device already, and my upgrade is not available until September. (In all fairness, it does take 6-9 months in between failures, and I think the last one was me being stupid and forgetting to flash the correct modem/baseband before re-installing a ROM, but it is a little frustrating, since the phone itself is fairly nice.)
As far as the issues:
I am running stock, rooted 47A. And things had been fine for a long while. Now, however, the phone has suddenly decided to occasionally "hide" apps and block functionality from me.
Google now will not launch from the home button, and google on tap is unavailable. I can launch google now from the app shortcut, or by swiping to the far left when using the Google launcher. When using the stock LG camera, sometimes the phone will shut off for no apparent reason, the way Google camera used to do on custom roms...
If I reboot, 50% of the time, Google launcher will not show as an installed option, and along with that, google keyboard will be missing, and several other apps too. If I turn off the phone let it sit for a few minutes and reboot, the missing aps mysteriously reappear. Running apps do not seem to be affected, and will remain in memory and be selectable and usable after a reboot, as in normal MM behavior.
I suspect imminent hardware failure of the internal, baked in storage or other hardware, as I cannot think of a software issue that would give me these intermittent problems. The phone is occasionally running warm to the touch, but not unusually hot, and I have gotten no thermal warnings to shut it down so far.
