unable to mount storage and /data

Hello,
tried to upgrade my 1.4 watch to 1.5 via update.zip. While pushing the update.zip he stopped copying.
From this time the watch always stuck at Google bootanimation.
So I tried to push the update.zip again, success, but not boot up.
Then I unlocked the bootloader, pushed twrp, pushed a whole system.img, success, but not boot up.
In TWRP is saw that he cant mount storage (0 MB) and /data.
So what can I do? Remeber a rapair option of filesystem in TWRP of my Samsung. But cannot find.
So is there a way to rebuild storage and /data using fastboot or ADB?
I have no TWRP Backup. But if somebody can give me... may restoring would go or fail because he cannot mount?
Whole sh*t because cant wait for OTA :(

HTC Desire 820 Bricked!

Hi All,
I recently upgraded 820U indian variant to Marshmallow.
But a few days later my phone turned off and wont start. Connecting a charger would just make the LED to blink. So after searching this forum, I did manage to get the HTC logo to show up, but to my horror, it went into bootloop.
Again a series of going through all the threads in this forum. Asked a few questions as well. Installed the TWRP But still couldn't get the phone running.

Finally decided to put back Lollipop. So I copied Lollipop RUU to my SDCard and restarted in HBOOT.
After a few checking, my phone went blank. Completely blank!!! Pressing Power Button, Power + Vol-, Power + Vol - and Vol+ etc wont work. adb devices wont show my device. Niether would fastboot devices show anything.

Any idea how I can get out of this irritating issue!

[Q] Main storage issue

Hi everyone

i have Galaxy Express2 and Galaxy J5 SM-J500FN
both have 8GB internal storage, yet im out of memory, i have around 600MB free

How should i fix this?
what are the recomandations?
flash a custom rom, smaller ROM? is there a way to re-partition?
Is there a way to hack the system so that it wont give me that error when im bellow 500MB that its not letting me install any application even if the app is just 5mb

I've found on my polish android forum way to debrand p8 lite without using bootloader. However it doesn't work on my phone which is branded for TIM Mobile (some italian operator).
My version is TAG-L01C212B123 - I want to debrand it and follow with official huawei releases.

How to unbrick huawei scl u31

Hey guys ? yesterday i rooted my huawei y6 scl u31(android 5.1.1,emui 3.1 with qualcomm snapdragon 210 processor ) with kingroot and replaced it wits super sume. then i rebooted my phone but it stucked on huawei logo. i immediately wiped factory reset and wiped catche partition and rebooted but it doesn't work. my 3 biggest mistakes are
1. I havn't insalled any custom recovery.
2. I havn't enabled usb debugging.
3. I havn't unlocked bootloader.
now my phone is in bootloop(stuck on logo). stock recovery is working fine. so how to unbrick it ?

internal sdcard0 undetected with error: command '117 partition disk volume

Since this morning, my janice fails to mount the sdcard0 failing to download files from the browser, or pictures from whatsapp. Going in -Settings - internal memory; the sdcard0 been damaged and that to use it you must first configure / format it. Formatting does not start and a message appears: command '117 volume partition disk: 179_0 public' failed with '400 117 Command failed'

How can I fix the problem?

Disable 'beep' when switching sound profile from 'Mute' -> 'Sound'

It's a small issue but one that bugs me since I have Tasker changing my audio profiles according to a few different conditions and I get these random beeps from my phone.

Any way of disabling this beep?

Bonus: Would also be nice to disable the vibration you get when you switch your phone to vibrate mode.

[Q] Why can't I install any custom rom

HELLO :)

I'm trying to install many MM custom roms (on my LG G3 D855) like blisspop, xosp, pacman, resurection remix... but i cant. twrp says at the end that "unmount of /system failed no such volume" "script succeeded: result was (0.20000)"
When i install pacman there is no error but when i boot it keeps rebooting :( :(
Fulmics rom works perfectly (i think it's thanks to aroma installer) but i still have wifi and bluetooth issues :(

Does the Redmi 3 (stock ROM) have an SMS widget?

I've been searching high and low for an SMS widget for MIUI's stock messaging app, but cannot find one.

I also tried installing several other SMS apps and for some reason only some of them show an SMS widget available to be used on the Redmi.

I tried Google messenger which does have a widget but it won't import any of my existing SMS conversations.

Any ideas?

SM-G920F showing wrong model number after failed update!

Hi,
I recently got a SM-G920F off the internet and noticed it was running android v.5. There was no update option available in the usual place so I tried to update to Marshmallow manually with Odin and it failed during the update process.

I've now noticed that even in Odin Mode, it's showing as a SM-G920P. As a result of this, only US (SM-G920P) firmware installs (everything else just fails) which isn't any use as I'm in the UK! I've tried to reset using smartswitch but it doesn't even recognise the serial number. The back of the phone states it is a SM-G920F and I was previously able to download apps to confirm that the phone isn't a fake.

Has anyone else had this problem? I think I just need to configure the phone to be a SM-G920F again and it will take the firmware but I can't find a way. Have tried editing the prop.build file in /system but it's still saying it's a G920P in Odin mode. Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Weather app force closing on start [d855][Stock][30J]

Hi guys, as title says I've got problems with weather app, in 30B build everything was working ok, 30J is even better but unfortunately weather app force closes..
Can someone help me with a quick fix, is there a zip file to flash maybe, I have searched everywhere, cant find a solution.

I really need this feature because I use all weather effects on my lock screen, and it freaking looks DOPE, now since the weather app is FC, there is just one effect non stop.

Removed battery during wiping data. and now it is stuck on green android logo

I was resetting my HTC DESIRE 616 though recovery mode and during "Wiping data" it was taking too long...so i pulled out the battery and from then whenever I switch it on or try to boot into recovery mode OR connect it to PC or Charger it first shows HTC welcome screen and then stuck at a black screen With a Green Standing Android Logo with a Blue colored diamond rotating in its tummy.
What should I do now.
Please help.

Facebook Messenger 2 shortcuts

Hello everyone,
yesterday I updated to latest messenger on my lumia 640xl ds all would be fine but update added new shortcut to messenger so now I have 2 shortcuts to messenger in program list. Can't delete old messenger shortcut (chose uninstall does nothing), uninstalled this new messenger but still old messenger shortcut is in program list.
What can i do to delete this shortcut maybe registry edit but if yes where ?
Maybe install old messenger xap but from where download ? (downloaded messenger xap from appx4fun.com but cant install it with WPV XAP Deployer 2.0 or normal by clicking in file explorer)

TWRP alka backup

Hi everyone, today I tried to go back from Santosh M's CM13 not because it's bad but because for some reason web browsing was very slow (everything else was just fine though, even other internet related features llke Facebook or HD vids on Youtube were blazing fast)...
Anyways, when I made a backup a while ago in TWRP Alka I forgot to uncheck firmware and got an error and now I'm stuck with a locked bootloader (twrp is working fine and I'm on Xiaomi.eu ROM). So I was wondering what I lose out on if I have locked BL and if there is anything significant, I would be VERY THANFUL to anyone who could upload their nand backup somewhere so I can download it. Also, I heard that you can unlock BL from mister Santosh's CM13 but I haven't seen anyone try it before, what's the procedure?

S6 - Software Update option missing.

About Device - Missing Software Update option , its not there.
Themes - Only default theme working , Rest Pink and Space Theme only showing Download Sign , and not going to Theme Store. Whenever clicked upon only makes sound.
Mobile Data : LTE : ESM - 27 error , Unable to establish a connection.

Tried Safe mode , and Clearing Wipe Cache Partition as well.
Please help me sort out following problems.
I have not done factory reset , as I don't want to turn my phone in to a brick, also can't send back to USA to unlock from there.

Question: Asus view flip cover with Custom ROM

Hi guys,
I was noticing that once i flashed a custom Rom on my Asus ze551ml, the Asus view flip cover doesn't works anymore. I have buyed it and with the stock rom it worked. Now with the CM 13 or the RR Rom it doesn't. And if i try to download from the play store the related app : Asus view cover App, it says that my device isn't compatible. How is this possible? Even with the Custom ROM my device is still an Asus Zenfone 2 (ze551ml), so what does it mean : it is not compatible?
Have you got any tips to make it work again, please?

I tried deleting cache and data, rebooting, deleting cache partitions, disabling/enabling and Ive gotten the camera to go from largely unresponsive to "responds after 5 seconds". The problems started after I had cut a bunch of pictures from my phone - I simply did this in windows explorer (worked fine for my HTC One Mini) and didn't "remove safely". I have a feeling the connection between gallery and camera is somehow obstructed but also other commands such as flash/camera-mode respond very slowly.
Does anyone have experience with this problem?

Link2Sd [Nevermore PC need for fix corrupted sdcard sdext2 partition]

Well, so long time ago, i am trying to understand, how Link2Sd works.

their site says "umount and do e2fsck".

but the sdext2 partition is umonteable.

i uninstalled link2sd, but the sdext2 partition, still was able.

Ok, here is the following, to do e2fsck WITHOUT NEED PC :

1: link2sd creates 3 scripts :

/etc/install-recovery.sh
/data/data/com.bualink2sd/files/link2sd.sh

/etc/init.d/11Link2sd
(if init.d enabled)

and a /system/bin/debuggerd

that last when we uninstall link2sd, is a little copy of install-recovery.sh and stays persistent on the system,
so, we have uninstall all scripts, reboot the phone, and edit the debuggerd SCRIPT for the e2fsck at EACH BOOT. Incliding before mounting sdext2 line , this:

>> e2fsck -y /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 <<

i am indignated, because Link2Sd is a PAID app , so if we pay this, we have right to have A GOOD THING, instead this BAD thing, searching masked scripts in /system/bin

Fingerprint Unlock not enough - OOS 3.0.2 requires pin when locked unconventionally

So I just upgraded to the OOS 3.0.2 MM build, and there's a new issue that's greatly annoying me. If you lock the phone with the power button, the fingerprint scanner will unlock it fine. However, if you lock it with something else (as I do with both shake-to-lock and Nova's lock actions), it will insist on ALSO asking for the pin/pattern unlock once your fingerprint has been scanned.

Anyone find a way to disable this security feature while still having a fingerprint unlock in place? Neither Gravity Box nor the security settings are presenting any obvious options

European launch

ZTE UK have mistimed the launch, the Amazon peo-order listing that went up yesterday was the official one even though the countdown only ended today - so there's a one month wait plus 2-3 weeks for delivery! And it's still not listed on ZTE UK's website.
The Quartz Grey should be launched sometime in August and there currently no plan at all for the 6GB / 128GB model.
It's a better phone than OnePlus's but ZTE really need to sort out their marketing and distribution.

Help with S5 on metro pcs.

I'm not sure if this phone was a metro pcs phone to start with the model number is SM-900T1. S7 or One Plus 3?

HI Guys,

I currently have the S5 and am looking to get a new phone but finding it hard to choose between S7 and the OnePlus 3?

I understand the Oneplus 3 is better value for money but which is the best phone overall? I am leaning towards Samsung as I have always used a Samsung but only worry is whether the performance drops after a few months? The 6GB ram on the Oneplus is pretty tempting but again not sure if with time the performance will be affected.

Screen not waking up

I have a problem with my s7 edge. Whenever i call someone an the screen goes off, i cant get it to turn on. The sensor doesnt work and button pressing doesnt bring anything. I get a black screen till the call is ended and than i can turn the screen with the power button or cerntral button on. Is this a known problem? Is there a solution? Restore doesnt make it better. BTW i am not rooted, stock on 6.0.1

Can't flash TWRP [Oxygen OS & OnePlus recovery]

I am on Oxygen OS (2.1.4) with OnePlus recovery and am trying to install TWRP recovery without any success.
I followed the fastboot method rather than the stupid toolkit
All the steps go through easily with success messages but every time after completion I boot into recovery, it still is OnePlus Recovery and not TWRP

Note - There's not option called "Update Cyanogen recovery" to uncheck under developer options because as I said, I'm on OnePlus Recovery
P.S - I have a Mac and followed the tutorial via terminal under the path ~/Library/Android/sdk/platform-tools

B330 no more available?

This is a bit weird. When I saw that B370 is rolling out in Germany, I tried update on phone to check if update is available. Now strangest thing is, that even B330 is not showing. I'm on B180 and about month ago I received notifications that B330 is available.

I even updated to B330, didn't liked it, rolledback to B180 and even after rollback i could update to B330. Now there is no update available. Even tried with HiSuite....but nothing.

Any current VZW phones with: SD Card & Unlockable bootloader?

I couldn't decide on the best place to ask this question, but since it ultimately pertains to my desire to flash a custom ROM, but isn't about a specific phone, this was the best place. Mods feel free to move as needed...

Are there any modern phones that meet *ALL* of the following conditions:

1. Work on the Verizon network
2. Have an external SD card slot
3. Bootloader is unlockable (either officially/unofficially) or has some alternate method of safely flashing ROMs

Yes, yes, I know VZW is dead set against unlockable bootloaders, but I'm curious if there are any current/modern phones that pass all 3 of my requirements, despite VZW's best attempts.

Note: Please *DO NOT* just reply that I should "ditch VZW and get an BL-unlockable GSM phone with another carrier." While I detest the bootloader locking stance of VZW, I'm stuck using them due to their coverage in my usage areas, and my grandfathered unlimited data plan.

Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. HELP! HTC 10 freaking out :(

Hi all,

First post here and unfortunately not a nice one. I picked up a new HTC 10 on my way through Dubai the other day and its not a happy phone.

Every now and then when I unlock the device it starts registering touches at the top middle of the screen in a very straight line without any input from me. This drags down the notification tray and starts causing havoc. Basically the phone becomes useless and has mind of it own. Turning the screen on and off a few times returns the phone back to normal again. Then a when I unlock the phone again a few minutes later it starts up again. I have tried wiping and resetting the device but nothing.

I have a screen shot of it happening but cant seem to upload it: "To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phone does not accept SIM

Hi,
I have a HTC One M7 phone. When I got it a year ago there was a v4 Android on it. I tried to update but it failed every time. Few days ago I tried to update it manually using the RUU file that I found here in the forum:

WiFi Auto Connect not working properly

I have my home WiFi saved on my OP3. When I go out of the range of it, it gets disconnected (obviously) but when I come back to the range, it does not connect automatically even if the WiFi is ON.
I have not changed any WiFi settings except disabling the WiFi/Bluetooth scan for Location.
Any ideas?

I am on unrooted stock OOS 3.1.2, if that info helps.

Flash modem and/or rom, will unlock it?

My friend has a Xperia Z1 C6903, his phone is locked to "Three" in UK. I read that flashing a custom rom will not unlock his phone, only flashing a unlocked modem will. I haven't find a way to download and flash modem. I found this thread. Should I try all these steps or is there any way to flash an unlock modem?

update problem

i was on Indian b822 and when i tried to update to b831 my phone bricked up
i was able to unbrick with huawei multi-tool and Indian b820 files ( recovery boot cust & system )
the worked normally after that it starts normally and every thing was fine except when i tried to update to b822 ota the system fails to update
also when i tried to use downgrade package to roll back to lollipop also system fails to update
when i tried to force update ( 3 button method ) using b820 full rom also system fails to update
the update process always stops at 5% and give fail message except for b822 ota it always fail at 36%

Need help to debug bootloop logcat caused by enabling navbar

Hi guys
I wanna enable navigation bar on a stock based custom rom.
There are several stock based custom roms (KitKat) for lg optimus g, but they (stock based roms& stock rom) have no problem with navbar.

But on this particular stock based custom rom, you can enable navigation bar with Xposed modules (but I think Xposed itself is a problem.)
& If you enable it with build.prop (qemo.hw.mainkeys=0), strangely you will face bootloop!

I've checked the logcats I guess the difference between a successful boot & navbar enabled boot starts from here:

Erisin Android 4.4.4 - Audi A4

Hello guys. So i got this unit on my car a few days ago and until now it works fine.

BUT... theres always a but right?

Thing is.. I do have sound on my rear speakers, including the OEM subwoofer, i saw many topics which people didnt had it..
So i do have sound, but sounds way to low compared to the front speakers, i tried setting the sound management a little bit centered more in the back a little bit like this image:



But still, the rear speakers wont sound as loud as they were on the previous radio which was 1 din aftermarket kenwood..
Any clue?

Another issue i have, on the previous radio i had information on my board display (the one between the Km/h signal and RPM), information about which radio station i was listening to, precisely the name of the station.
Now i dont have any information when i listen to radio, BUT if i use bluetooth and call someone, it shows on the board the name of the person im in call with.

Phone reset after consecutive failed authentication

Hello,

My phone is protected using fingerprint scans and pin code. I noticed that after several failures the phone is not only telling me that it will lock, but also that it will reset (after 8 failures, or something like that).
I don't see that as a security feature, anyone willing to make me loose a lot of time only have to put his/her fingers 8 times on the button and ... everything is gone in my phone ?

Is this a local security feature ? I mean is it configurable somewhere ? or is coming from a remote policy, or hardcoded somewhere in the phone ?

Battery Issues -> 32.2.A.0.224

I know I can look desperate, but this problem is driving me crazy.
My battery was good (but not perfect) in Android 6.0, but this latest update .224 is horrible! I have the same apps and the same use and with a maximum of 3 hours SoT! In one hour of normal use lose almost 10%!

Which watchfaces have antialised (or just better looking) ambient mode?

Hello all,

many watch faces look amazing on the Zenwatch in regular (full on) mode.

But the watch is 90% or more of the time in ambient mode (I am using Always on for over 2 days of runtime).

And ambient mode is a different story. The default (Asus) watchfaces are typically pixelated in ambient mode and do not look so well. There are other (for example Puije ) ambient faces which look much better.

So it seems it can be done - but Asus is not doing it.

Is there any way to force better looking ambient mode on the Asus watchfaces? Or, is there a collection of watch faces (like Puije faces) which look good (better than stock) in Ambient?

There are several kinds of WiFi encryption options available for you to toggle. Try to pick the most accurate one that suits your needs the most. The least secure would be WEP, that a lot of networks connect to by default. And the most secure is WPA1-PSK. Use a long and random password along with the latter to give your network the best protection.

7)Ignore the Firewall option:-

A security firewall is built into most home wireless networks and is extremely helpful, depending on the way you use it. It protects you from any unwanted intrusion and limits the amount of sites that can access your personal data. One of the biggest router security flaws is neglecting crucial updates to its firmware. Sometimes hackers are able to find exploits in certain router models and upgrading it to the company's latest firmware build is key to protect your data.

An IP address is unique to every wireless network and putting in the incorrect IP address is like using the wrong key to open your door. You are bound to get locked out. Without a correct IP, you can't access the firewall, the network or even the packet data.

10)Mix up the wrong adapters and routers:-

While all modern routers are backward compatible, that is they will work with all older technologies. Still, if you want complete performance from your router, we recommend getting to know about the best adapter that works with your router.

Help plz! Not getting 4g anymore

Tried getting help. I recently tried a fresh install of cm13. When it booted up it searched for a network. Went to network settings and let it look for a network. Found sprint and said it was trying to connect or register. Now I'm only getting ****ty 3g data sometime. No 4g. Almost seems like its not using the sim card. Tried booting up without it and it was still working?

does MI4 fit for my needs & still worth buying? which version meets my requirements?

things i do:
95% of time - switching between many browser's tabs, background music, youtube & few common apps like taptalk, whatsapp etc.
5% of time - GPS & camera (as main camera) during some trip/journey.

things i care:
1. I don't use it so much, but when i do - FAST performance:
- I can't wait 2+ minutes for GPS/camera app to load/reload when i'm stuck alone in the middle of nowhere and have transportation time limitations.
- I can't tolerate slow/closing/crushing with working load of several browser tabs + music/youtube/taptalk/whatsapp in the background.

2. battery & future:
- official roms. I'm tech savvy. built Linux's kernels when i were a kid, managed to survive (until now) with iPhone4 & a lot of hacks.
- battery should last - I would do almost everything to avoid charging when i'm not at home (lectures in college, trips, car etc.)

things i don't care: games, UI features, fingerprint scan, NFC, LTE, turning off UI features & even 3G sometimes, non-english localized UI (just keyboards).

why MI4
1. very high clock speed per core (high clock speed is more important than no. of cores for my usages, i don't game)
2. a lot of official roms, including CM. I don't want to get stuck again without the option to use my phone properly, like installing basic apps. It happened with my iPhone4 & iOS7 being its last iOS version.

which version?
After a lot of reading & digging - I understand there's some ROMs headache with the LTE-CT & LTE-CU (both 2gb ram).
For flashing roms without problems i should prefer the CU? as i said, i need future via flashing roms & battery, not LTE/NFC/etc

At the same price range there's the 4C, but i don't know if it's not worse in the clock-speed&roms section ("why MI4")
A big price jump (maybe too big for 2014's model) would get me NON-LTE 3g model with 3gb ram.

I would appreciate and thank any opinion or insight.

Galaxy S7 Dual SIM (SM-G930FD) Tethering SIM 2

Hi guys,
I bought my G930FD about a month ago and I have started running into a rather annoying problem:
it seems that tethering only works if SIM1 is use for the data connection. If one attempts to use SIM2 for data and then tether (regardless if one uses WiFi, Bluetooth or USB), the connected PC is unable to use the internet connection. I tried several ROMs (including unadulterated G930FD stock) and SIM-cards (Vodafone NL, Base DE and NTT Docomo JP). Nothing seems to help, so I am now asking you guys. Is there anybody who has any idea how to fix this? I recon the trouble lies somewhere in the tether settings that doesn't get properly switched to SIM2 data. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

How dangerous the fact that selinux is permissive? what should I be wary of?

Hi, I'm not sure if this the right forum but couldn't find a better one.


I have installed an unofficial CM12 which comes with selinux is permissive. This is the only cyanogen out there for my device.
Now I'm not really sure what are the consequences of such a decision and would be happy if someone could explain it to me (I have googled it and know what it is theoretically...just not in practice).

USB 3.0/3.1 and Type C ports

Hi,

I get so confused with so many web pages explaining technical details about standards and specifications. May any of you give me a good and simple to understand rule for buying cables. No explanation needed:
- 56kΩ resistor is necessary only for Legacy USB Type-A to USB 3.0 Type-C?
- If I have a Type-C charger (the one it comes with Nexus6P with 5V and 3A), does that cable need to have 56kΩ too?

We have 2 mobiles at home. 1 Nexus 6P and 1 Huawei P9 (AL-029, yeah, the chinese ROM version). I want to buy chargers and cables for both of them. For home, car and computer use. Have no idea whatsoever what to buy. Of course, I could go with manufacturer ones but that's way too expensive and wouldn't cover all our needs.

Annoying ads and popups on almost any site and almost any browser

Hello,
In my possession I have OP2.
From any browser except 'opera mini' I have Malware ADS Popups (Screen Captures attached)
It is happening in almost any site, including legit news sites.
So I deny\reject the option that this is phishing or cross site scripting from the web site itself,
It must be something in the phone.
Another thing, if I deny in chrome the ability to get java from sites, it stopes, but I can't get to open many sites cause lack of java.
I scan with AVAST, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, MacAfee. Nothing found
I cleaned the system rom, installed a new ROM, custom rom. And issue persist.
Something here is very bad, what is it?
It is happening on my wife's LG G4 also





While searching google, only answers i found is to clean cache and some more unrelevant solutions.
it's deeper than that, i believe that the phones is really infected with something,
i also asked my friends from work and other friends using androids,
they are not experiencing this kind of popups.

Please your urgent help and explanation.

After not being able to flash the system partition for an itel 1404 with research downloader, I decided to create a custom recovery which eventually allowed gave me a shell to recover, backup and even install custom roms.

Note 5 Note recognized by PC

Hello all, i have a Galaxy Note 5 who isn't recognized by my PC (usb), it was recognized in past. I have tried all usb port.
(Sorry for my bad english :crying: )

My SPec:
- Galaxy note i920C
-Marshmallow 6.
-Windows 10 64 bit.
-My usb port work with my mouse, joystick, flash usb ...
-My Phone charge normaly (with fast and normal charging).
-My OTG is recognized by my phone.
-I have tried another usb cable.
-I have instaled Sidesync, Kies 3 and they dont recognized my phone.
-I have instaled MediaFeaturePack.
-My phone is not showed in my pc nor in Control panel.
-My Usb settings in my phone is "MTP".
-I have UBS DEBOG activated.

Note: As per my experiences, it is recommended to flash the Kernel, then recovery, then "FORMAT DATA" (not just wipe) to disable encryption. Otherwise, TWRP will not be able to mount /data.

I flashed this SuperSU in system-less mode & I was rooted with no (visible) issues. Anything else like backing up, I didn't try.

Recommended Installation Flow:

• Flash TWRP via ODIN
• Reboot to Recovery (TWRP)
• Wipe > Format Data > "yes"
• Reboot to Recovery (TWRP)
• Flash latest SuperSU zip (anything > 2.46)

S6 Stuck in bootloop

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge + and wanted to wipe the cache from recovery mode; however, in the process I accidentally selected "apply update from ADB" and now the phone is stuck in a bootloop.

First there's the "Samsung Galaxy Edge +" screen
Then there's a blue "installing system update" screen with the android logo
(This process repeats with no variation)

Which ROM for using GPS and Bluetooth with a Xiaomi Mi Band 1S?

Hi,

I am looking for a working ROM for fitness use for EU 109 version. I want to track my distance with GPS and with the Mi Band 1S. Tried a Cyanogenmod 13 ROM already but GPS and Bluetooth didn´t work. Not a single satellite and no connection to the Mi Band. So do I need to go back to Android 4.4.2 or can I try Lollipop?

New Phone - coming from a smashed nexus 6 - Moto G4 / LG-G3

Hey, I smashed my nexus the other day, glass crack - still usable - just about and I am still in contract til April 17.
I have been looking at getting shot of the Nexus 6 anyway recently as the size is starting to get on my nerves.

Was thinking about buying sim free and knocking contract phones on the head - something to get me till April and beyond.

I was looking at the Moto G4 - close rival to my nexus 6 but smaller - sounds good ? Or should I get the G4 Plus.

Or should I go for an older flagship like the LG G3 which I was torn between when i got my N6 ?

Be careful if buying OnePlus 3 bundles - Tempered glass not listed.

Just thought I'd make you guys aware.
The OnePlus 3 bundles are no longer listing the OnePlus 3 Tempered Glass Screen Protector and yet the price is the same.
This goes for the Essentials and the OnePlus 3 Go Big Or Go Home Bundles.

I'm not sure if this is an error or if there is a problem with the glass.

Unusual battery drain

I've been having this overnight battery drain. I've deleted apps, checked which setting is causing it and nothing. Last night I went to sleep with 91% and woke up with 62%. My thoughts are to reset the phone but I'd like to use all the alternatives before doing that.

SystemUpdates App Self Installed

So in perusing my apps in the Play Store the other day, I noticed an app called SystemUpdates by chondong. I've never installed this app and there is no option to uninstall it.

It was created and forced into my phone on June 15.

I don't buy for one second that this is a system update app as the phone had the ability to search for and receive OTA updates prior to this being installed. The only description in English says "Update update the internal system of the application" (yes, it says update twice).

This is a Chinese phone and I'm very skeptical of what this app is.

Permissions are intrusive as well; see screenshots.

Any thoughts on this? Reading the feedback on the app, I'm not the only one concerned about this and it appears it doesn't only apply to ZTE, but other Chinese phones as well.
